Beauty Blogger Box- October

Hey everyone,
Today I'm here with a totally new box to me called the Beauty Blogger box. It is a small company aiming to get products out to beauty bloggers to review and give feedback. I found this company via twitter and their boxes are £10 each including shipping. I will say this though, there are very few boxes available so find out on twitter how to get yours!
(Excuse the lighting, it's raining again in Oxfordshire!)
Elizabeth Grant Supreme Essance of Torricelumn
This first item is a serum to be used after toner and before moisturiser. The directions say to use 1 to 2 pumps day and night and of corse, you all know me. I love a good skincare product. This product will get some good use once my trial sizes are used up!
Purskin Therapy Resurfacing Formula
This product is a skin treatment used for imperfections, scars and other skin complaints used to balance out pigmentation. I was actually rather happy about this product as although many of you may not know this but actually have a rather large scar on my breast. I have tried many products on it and they just do not work for the colour and fading. I'm willing to give this a shot and will update on Instagram/twitter.
Pink & Green Organic Facial Cleansing Oil
Another skincare item I am willing to try. I've only recently got myself into cleansing and have found my skin does not react to much. Although this is a small sample, I am happy that it is organic and it also smells like oranges! I have found now though that I do have a good amount of cleanser samples to go through!
John Gosnell's The Original Vitamin E Cream
After reading the back of this sample I became clear about what this product actually is! From the front it almost looks like a hand cream but it is actually a moisturiser. Again another skincare product (which i am happy about) which I will need to use up before my other samples.
Xenca Organic Perfection Eyeshadow- Mink
This item is the only makeup item in the whole blogger box (which I can imagine many people are not happy about). After swatching these two average colour out, they are reasonably pigmented but I would rather use Urban Decay shadows over these. On the positive side though, they are also organic which I will always support. I have heard from other bloggers that some people received lipsticks in their boxes.

Overall I think that this box was an okay box, however I will not be purchasing again. Currently I am tight for money and I do not feel this box was worth my £10 (let alone the £100 it is meant to be worth!!). I do however think the company are coming up with good ideas and for a small business they are doing well. I think I shall just continue with my Glossybox.

Cohorted Beauty Box- August

Hey everyone,
Time for a review of a box I've never bought before! The Cohorted Beauty Box. It prices at £20.00 plus £2.50 postage and packaging and arrives via courier. You get a selection of 5 beauty products (be that makeup, skincare or haircare) which are unknown to everyone until people start getting their boxes. Unfortunaly I did see a few peoples boxes before mine arrived and at that point I was excited. However I do think this was because it was a new box for me.
(I do apologise for the quality of the photos today, the weather is terrible outside and I tried to do my best with what I had)
Bare Minerals- BareVitamins Skin Rev-er Upper- rrp: £15.00
Skincare! You all know how much I'm enjoying skincare at the moment and when I first openned this I couldn't understand what it was meant to do. After reading the card, it says to put this on before you moisturiser or wear on it's own. Upon application I found that the smell really put me off. However I will persevere and try to find a way to put this in my routine.
Laura Geller- Baked Impressions Duo Eyeshadow- rrp: £15.00
Upon first glance, I was excited for this item especially as I need to build my single eyeshadow collection (yes I know this blog is all about downsizing!). But after swatching and looking at the colours, I don't understand why it has a retail value of £15! They are not pigmented colours and are literally a wash over the eyes. I have a feeling this will be downsized when I do a declutter.
Bare Minerals- Soft Focus Face Brush- rrp: £20.00
I was so happy to see a brush in this box! Something I actually want right now, more brushes. This brush is soft to touch, perfect travel size and just the perfect thing for my collection. I've never tried the Bare Minerals line so hopefully this stands up to its retail value.
Molton Brown- Relaxing Yuan Zhi Body Cream 30ml- rrp: £6.00
This was something I wasn't expecting in my box! A sample size of a body lotion? This smells okay but probably will only do my whole body once. I really don't have much to say except it will be used up.
Cargo- Eye Colour Quad- rrp: £10.00
This is a beautiful palette, better pigment than the Laura Geller duo and perfect colours for my taste. It will take a long time for me to use up these shadows however I do think they will make a good eye look. I did notice after looking a photos of people's boxes on Instagram that a few people did get a quad with a dark blue shade in it, I'm rather happy I didn't get that quad.

Over all this boxes value comes to a whopping £66.00, which I do not feel it deserves. I am a girl of the drugstore and I would have rather spent my £20.00 for this box on a few items from there. I will not be purchasing this box again after reading a few reviews and speaking to others about Cohorted. I think I'll stick to my Glossybox!

Glossybox- July!

Hey everyone!
So this post is rather late and the only reason is because I don't know what to write about it all. This July Glossybox is mostly skincare and I can't give a honest review without trying everything out first. For those that don't know, Glossybox is £10 a month plus postage and packaging.
This month everything came neatly popped in this cute little bag (perfect for holidays in your carry on!) which is French themed. It also came in its usual Glossybox packaging too but my sister has nicked that due to the super cute design. The value of this bag is £3.99
Vichy- Aqualia Thermal Light Cream- full size is £31
As you can probably tell (because it's my first product) that I already love this product! I've been using a little of this moisturiser every evening before I go to bed as it's so light weight and I barely feel it. It's perfect for the summer, however when it's gone I'll be sad. I'm not spending £31 on a moisturiser!
Lollipops- Lip Balm Delicieuse- full size- £4.15
This Lip balm you guys has gone straight into my lip organiser! The smell and taste are to die for. Hopefully I can make this last a while however you do have the re-apply a few times to make it worth your while.
Left- Teoxane Cosmeceuticals- Perfect Skin Refiner- full size is £70!
I haven't tried this yet but from reading the card, it sounds like a face serum/night mask which over time will plump and hydrate the skin. However it does come with a warning that you will feel a mild tingling at first).
Right- Noxidoxi- Enhancing Serum Base- full size is £33.46
Again another product I have not tried yet, but I am more excited about this one than the last. It's said to help protect, hydrate and moisturise placed before your moisturiser. I'm a skincare fan so having this placed in my Glossybox this month made me rather happy. I may have to try this out tonight!

Next month there is a preview for a lash primer which I'm very excited about! I've never used one before.

Glossybox- April 2015

Hey everyone,
I'm back! I'm so SO sorry that I've been missing in action recently, I've been getting back into my other hobby (Jewellery Making if anyone is interested) and abusing this one. Well now I'm back with another Glossybox review and this time I wasn't as impressed but it's still a great selection. For anyone who doesn't know Glossybox in £10 + postage in the UK and contains 4-5 beauty products. Most months you do get a sneak peek and they do have boxes for other countries too.
This months box was inspired by Hollywood and I recieved the Marylin box. Let's get into the box! As always I'll go from my most favourite product to the least and tell you my initial thoughts.
Colour club Barely There Nail Polish- full size-£4.10
Now let's just start at the fact that one, it's a full size polish. Two it's the perfect nude colour that I love to wear to work. I must admit I made a promise to my mother and myself at the beginning of this year that I wouldn't buy any new nail polish and so far I haven't. Both of my new ones are from Glossybox's. This will be tried and tested soon.
Astral Original Face and Body Moisturiser- Full size- £3.89 for 200ml
I've heard of this brand before and I must admit it has been on my drugstore wish list, so having it come in a box was perfect for me! I tried this as soon as I went to put all my new items away and I love the constancy however I dislike the smell. Once I have finished my current moisturiser, I'll be moving on to this as I think I can get past the smell.
IDC Body Lotion- Full Size- £3.59 for 100ml
I'm never going to say no to a body lotion especially when it smells of roses! This fragrance when rubbed in does die down a little but it really does feel luxurious. The packaging is pretty darn cute too!
Lord & Berry Lipstick Pencil in Kiss- Full Size- £10
Pop Beauty Kajal Eyeliner Pencil- Full Size- £6.50
Now as you can tell these two are my least favourite products and it's not because they are bad products (defiantly not for a FREE Lord and Berry lipstick!!). It is just the fact I have so many eyeliners in black (this one I haven't even swatched because I don't want yet another eyeliner open) and I also don't wear red lipstick. However I did try the lipstick on with a bare face and it is okay. It shows up a lot more orange tonned on my lips, it may have to be tried and tested with full makeup.

My overall view of this box is that yes it does resemble Hollywood and the Marylin style, however I won't use the main items in this box. Here's to next months box as I don't know anything that will be in the box!
