Project Polish- Update 5

Hey everyone!
It's that time of the month again and once again I don't have any new polishes to show you. This partly being the fact I was on holiday for one week and I've been off sick from work for 2 weeks so I haven't had to reapply my polish once it chips!
So far this project I've used up:
- Sally Hansen Diamond Shine Top coat
- Ciate polish in Members Only
Bourjois 1 Second Polish in 2
I really don't know why but I didn't fancy this on my nails much this month. I think because I had such a kick on it the month before I got sick of it, however I found that with a Ciate snowflake top coat it looks amazing. An idea for work maybe?
17 Lasting Fix polish in Glisten
Can you see that? There is some progress on this this month! I've been applying this with two coats rather than one as it's starting to become gloopy and only a little product comes out on the brush. It may be time for this one to go soon, however I do still want to focus on it.
Maybelline Express Finish in 190 Racing Rubies
I do know I was going to throw this out after this update but I've started to like wearing this on my toes especially as the weather is cooling down here in Oxfordshire! I don't see much progress on this however as you only need one coat at a time.
Barry M nail paint In Meadow
Only a tiny amount of progress on this polish and seen as the season to wear this is almost over, I really need to make so much more progress! This is another polish which looks good with Ciate Snowflake on top.
Avon Matte Polish in Violetta
I really find it hard marking this polish as it is so dark however I had seen a little amount of progress. It's such an easy product to use being opaque and matte in one coat which is a good one for if your just about to go out. I love this colour on my toes.
BONUS ITEMS:
Sally Hansen Maximum Strength base coat
Not so much of this left now! I'm still using this on every manicure and pedicure so the progress to finish won't take too long. However this is also a polish which is going gloopy.
Caudalie Divine Oil
I read on a blog somewhere that this product is amazing for the cuticles and dry skin. I found that it didn't work well on anywhere else on my body so I decided to throw it into this project. I apply every time I take off polish and allow it to dry before adding my next manicure/pedicure. Top line is where I started, the next line down is the progress I've made.

For this next month I plan to focus on the Barry M polish and the Bourjois polish again as these are still work colours for me and I want to use them up before the "summer" season is over. I also would like to see some good progress on my Sally Hansen bonus item as I do have a back up of that waiting to be used.

Project 10 Pan- 4 week update

Hey everyone!
I can't believe four weeks have already happened in this project! There won't be much progress this time as one of the weeks I was in Italy. However I have noticed consistencies have changed and I'll go into that later.
So far I have finished:
- Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation
- You Butter Believe it Body Butter
- Rimmel Kate Lipstick in 08
Buxom Amplified Lash Mascara
This is the item I was talking about in my intro. Unfortunatly I think because I took this to Italy with me and the temperature was about 29 degrees everyday, the weather has dried out the product. This is a real shame as I love using this and it was quite pricey. However I will continue to use this until it flakes. Only time will tell.
Mac Dainty Blush
Let's face it, we all knew this would still be here. No more dents in this one but as I have said in my update and introduction to this project, I do not mind. This is holy grail status to me!
Entire Belle Lifting Peel
I must admit, I have been bad with this product. I really should have took this to Italy as I ended up getting really dried out and flakey lips. This product will be used every night and morning now so we may see more progress within the next few updates.
Rimmel Glam eyes in Precious Rose
We have some serious dip in this pan now! Hopefully we will see pan on this product soon, then if am calling it done on this project. I am also getting quite low on my Maybelline Colour Tattoo (#12emptiesofChristmas) which this product sets so I will have to try to use this in a different way then.
Collection Glow Bronzer
No progress here everyone as I'm still trying to finish my bronzer in my #13byhalloween which is on it's last legs. Then I will move onto this, hopefully that will be before summer is over (let's be honest, summer is almost over).
Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer
I'm seeing more and more progress everyday with this product! I'm also still loving it which is a plus. Less and less product comes out on the wand everyday and I'm having to start scraping from the sides as you can see in the photo. This maybe an empty soon!
NYC Smooth Skin Face Powder
Since the last update I haven't been able to make any marks as I manged to hit pan two days after the update. However I had loads of product around the sides, which means it was time to hit the product to the base. I use this everyday so maybe there will be progress again soon.

I'm still enjoying this style of project seen as it's moving things from my collection, however the items i do not like are still on it. Time to make more progress I think.

#13byHalloween- Update 2

Hey everyone,
I've got this post a day early this month as my Project 10 Pan update falls on the same day! So here we go. I don't have much left to go but the products I do have need some good work. I've found that this project has moved so very unloved items out of my collection and I've found that I enjoy seasonal projects with endings a bit more than my project 10 pan.
So far I've used up:
Maybelline Matte Maker Powder
So? Kiss Me perfume
Rimmel Bb Matte Cream (finished on holiday!)
MonuSpa Rosewood Revivng Mist (repurchased!)
Maybelline Baby Skin Primer (repurchased)
Balance Me Body Polish
Yardley Body Lotion
Nivea Cleansing Cream Wash
Kueshi Anticellulite Booster
Origins Clear Improvement Mask (finished 1 day after last update!)
So Susan Blush in Pink
This product has been a pain in the bum to move. The dent in the pink is not moving and the dip is not getting bigger despite using it everyday as a base blush! I will continue to use, however if I finish 2 other products off before this, then the project is being called done.
Colour Couture Eyeliner in Brown
I've been reasonably happy with the consistent progress on both updates since the start and am pretty sure I'll be able to finish this before the project is done. I also top this with a colour from my #panthatpalette on Instagram so this is a dual product again. I only have 6cm of product left and I don't know where the pencil sharpener will stop at.
BONUS PRODUCT: BC Bronzing Powder
Slowly slowly we're making progress on this old powder. If you can't tell, this product got really thin around the edges and I had to repress it into the middle. I don't assume this will be around by my next update (then I can start using my one in my project 10 pan) however I am tanned on my face from my holiday so a lighter hand is needed.

Hopefully I will have at least one more product done by next update. I'm glad at how quickly these products have been moving as it means I can play around a bit more in other areas.

What's in my holiday Makeup Bag

Hey everyone,
My last post from Italy and it's just on my departure day. By the time this is uploaded I'll be on my way home, but I thought this would help make the journey faster. I decided to take a few photos yesterday of the items I brought with me and show you a version of what's in my makeup bag!
I brought it all in this simple clear makeup bag from Poundworld as I could see how much I have at any given time. This was my project pan mind coming into play.
First hair items:
Travel L'Occitane Shampoo & Conditioner
Travel Batiste Dry Shampoo
Hair Grip (in 30 degree heat this was needed!)
Body care:
Hawaiian Tropic Factor 30 Suntan Lotion
Sanex Moisturising Body Wash
MonuSpa Face Mist
Ibuprofen Gel (needed for my man neck aches)
Bic Ladies razor
Facial Skincare:
Travel Garnier Miceller Water (favourite of all time)
Travel Rose Cleanser
Travel Malin+Goetz Cleanser
Makeup:
Rimmel Matte BB Cream (#13byHalloween)
Buxom Mascara (#Project10Pan)
Carmex Lipbalm
Maybelline BabyLips
Revlon Matte Lips
Rimmel Exaggerate Eyeliner in blue
Rimmel Glam Eyes in Precious Rose (#Project10Pan)

Nothing really exciting as I knew I wouldn't want to wear much due to the temperature however I managed to finish a few items off which you will see in my empties. I've also bought a few things in the duty free on the plane which I can show you all if wanted, let me know!

Holiday Purchases

Hey everyone!
Have you missed me? I'm currently writing to you from sunny Sorrento (Southern Italy) and I wanted to share my beauty purchases so far. I've been missing my blogging so much and I remembered my app, so I saw a good way to show you the goodies!
First up are the items I bought from the World Duty Free in Birmingham. Unfortunately I only had £30 to spend so only a few bits here.
Benefit travel set- £20.80
This photo only shows you the items I have tried and tested from the kit, however you also receive the mini Porefessional, mini Watts Up and mini Benetint. I already know I do not like the Benetint so a friend will be getting a gift here. However I do know I already like mini Dandilion blush and the "That Girl" primer.
L'Occitane Almonde Hand Cream- £6.70
I knew straight after packing and being at the airport I would need a hand cream. I saw this and knew I'd like to try it. So far, so good. It's very liquidy but doesn't leave a sticky residue and sinks in quite well.
Bioderma Micellar Water- €9.90
Now this is something I was very excited to see in the pharmacy and I had to get! Bioderma has had great reviews online and I wanted to see the hype. This one here is for oily skin and after one use I can say I love it already! All my makeup was gone and no residue was left on my face. Watch out for a full review and compare of this with the Garnier Micellar Water soon.
Isa Dora Lip Liners in Heather & Vintage Pink- €15 each
Of corse I had to buy Italian makeup. I tried the Heather lip liner two days ago and I can say they are really creamy, long lasting and the colour pay off is amazing. I must admit this is the most I've paid for a lip liner (about £10 each) but I will remember the memories when I use them.
Isa Dora Kajal Eyeliner- €16
Okay, this was defintaly a makeup product I did not need to buy. After doing my makeup inventory before leaving, I really should have not purchased this. But I am so glad I did. As with the lip liner, it's very creamy and the colour pay off is amazing. I decided to go with a light blue colour which I can easily use for work too.

I shall be back in a few days with a "what I took in my makeup bag" post.

August Empties!

Hey everyone,
Seen as I'm going to be on holiday when this is normally updated, I asked you all on Instagram (@Piperbeauty) which you would like to see first and August empties came up top. As this is only 3 or so weeks worth of empties compared to normal, the amount is a little low but it does have a massive value! If you don't know already, every time I finish an item it goes into my empties box and the value is written in a note book for the end of the month. Here is everything I finished this month.
I used up:
- 2 Haircare
- 14 Facial Care
- 1 Body product
- 16 Samples
- 6 Makeup + 1 eyeshadow pan
- 1 Misc

In total the value for all this is £107.39 which I was totally surprised at considering I used a big lot of samples this month! As you can also tell this was a big month for face masks for myself as one was in a project and another two I was reviewing.
Hopefully next month will be just as good as a few makeup products are on their final legs.

Project 10 Pan- 2 week update

Hey everyone,
I can't believe it's been 2 weeks already since my introduction to my first project 10 pan and so much has gone on in so little time! I'm already at 8/10 to go! I managed to finish off my Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation and my Rimmel Kate lipstick in 08. Both of which I saw happy to see the last of! The lipstick has been in my collection for a very long time and has been in numerous projects! Anyways, lets update you on my other 8 products!
Collection Bronze Glow Bronzer
I've currently not used this at all as I'm trying to finish a bronzer which is in my #13byHalloween project. Hopefully by the next update I will have some progress to show you as the other bronzer is on it's last legs (sneak peak!).
Buxom Amplified Lash Mascara
Obviously I have no way of knowing how much progress I have on this product but I am using it everyday. First of all I was using it with another mascara but now I'm using it with a lash primer I recieved in my latest Glossybox so the product my go faster.
You Butter Believe it Body Butter
As this was a full tub when I started, I'm super happy with this progress! It doesn't have a bad smell, rubs into the skin quickly and I use it every day at night. I also use this every shower and bath to lock to water in. Hopefully this will be a quick empty but I do enjoy using it.
Etre Belle Lifting Peel.
Another full product when starting and the line shows where I am now. I use this every night before bed and before a lip balm, however I've found I do not like the taste of the product ( I know your not meant to eat it!). Hopefully this will be another product almost by next update!
Mac Blush in Dainty
I don't know about you guys but I can defiantly tell there's a bit more of a dip in this blush. As stated in the intro, I don't plan to finish this one up, just hit pan. This blush is a holy grail of mine and also one of the most expendsive ones I own, I do not want it gone. I am proud of the progress made though.
Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer
Guess what? I've had to pull the stopper out of this! Unfortunatly it means I won't be able to take this to work with me but it does mean I can get every last drop out of it. Surprisingly there is so much more in this bottle than companies lead you to believe. This maybe here a while.
NYC Smooth Skin Face Powder.
After my introduction 2 weeks ago, I decided to mark where I was starting on this product as it has been used quite a few times. As you can see from the second mark, it has been used a lot and considering I only use this in the morning to set my foundation I'm surprised with the progress.
Rimmel London Glam Eyes in Precious Rose
Again this is another product I do not plan to finish but just hit pan on and I'm also surprised on this progress. I use this to set my colour tattoo which is in my #12emptiesofchristmas and the dip I'd growing. The little dot on the pan was me trying to find out how much i have to go until pan. It's a lot. I've got to keep trucking with this.

Slow and steady progress with this project but I am enjoying the idea and how much I am using. I predict that my body butter and lip treatment may be gone by next time but I'm not holding my breath. Any progress is good progress.

Glossybox- August!

Hey everyone,
It seems like delivery central at my house at the moment with us wanting all our items to arrive before we go to Italy. Luckily my Glossybox arrived yesterday and I've already swatched and played with a few things.
If you do not know, Glossybox is £10 + p&p a month and you get around 5-6 items a time ranging from makeup, skincare and haircare. Glossybox also have boxes for other countries, however you will have to look on their websites to find out which ones. On to the unboxing! As always I've put the large items first.
Naobay Calming Face Toner- Full Size- £10.65
As you can imagine I was rather happy about skincare being in this months box! I've tried this brand before and I loved how the product worked so hopefully this will be just as good. As soon as I saw the product description I wanted to smell it (it has chamomile in it) and unfortunately it does not smell great. However I do always give skincare a try first!
Sass Purifying Cleanser- Sample size- full size is £7
Another brand which has featured in Glossybox before and that I was pleasantly surprised with! Last time we recieved an intimate shave gel this time it is an intimate cleanser. Now I've never used a product like this so I have nothing to compare it to! However I do know I'll have to keep this in my bedroom or else my father or boyfriend may mistake it for skincare!
Emite Artist Colour Powder Blush- Full Size- £20.59
I do not consider this colour a blush! Do not get me wrong, I love the fact Glossybox included a full size artist blush. However how many skin tones is this actually going to suit? After swatching on my hand and reading the description, it does say it could be used as a bronzer too. But with my pale skin tone, even that will be too dark. Don't expect this to be in my collection long.
Manna Kadar Lash Primer- Full size- £14.55
You better believe I was super happy about a lash primer being in our boxes this month! I've never used a primer before and this one is said to keep your lashes primed before mascara with vitamin b12. It has a white colour, so if you don't apply mascara fully, you will notice white dots so do be careful!
MeMeMe Lipglide in Playful Peach- Full size- £6.95
Peach is defiantly an in colour at the moment, showing it's face in lots of collections so Glossybox was right on que here! Peach is not really a colour I gravitate towards however I will always give a lip product a go. Another full size item here!

Overall this box was pretty good! I'm happy with everything here except the "blush" and am excited for next months box too! The sneak preview is a full size hair mask by the brand Maria Nila worth £18.95. I'm always up for a good hair mask!

Use it Up 2015- Update 3

Hey everyone,
So I thought it was time to show you my progress on this years use it up project and I think I've made some considerable progress since the last update. As you will see certain products are gone and these I will write what happened next to each photo.
These are the current products I have left in this year long project (excluding perfume). Of corse how I have manged to make such a dent is by putting these items (and others) into seasonal project pans and a current 10 pan.
Face products:
NYC face Poweder- currently in Project10pan
Dark brown powder- currently in #13byHalloween
I used up:
Seventeen Miricle Matte Powder
Rimmel Bb Matte Cream (although repurchased)
Miss Sporty Concealer (chucked at is went bad)
Cheek products:
NYC Blush trio- no matter how much I use this, it does not budge
Nicka Pot Blush- Not used
I used up:
Maybelline Baby Skin Primer (already repurchased and used up)
Seventeen Stay Time Long Wear Primer
Lip products:
Lip Smackers Coca Cola Lip balm- not used
Lip Smackers Fanta Lip balm- currently using at night
Revlon Chubby Skin in Honey- currently in #projectlip on Instagram
Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipstick- not used
I used up:
Stilla Lipgloss- chucked after project pan
Soap and Glory lipgloss- decluttered
Rimmel Viynl Gloss- finished in #finish5byCinco
Rimmel Kate Lipstick in 08- finished in Project 10 Pan (sneak peak!)
Clinique Chubby Stick- finished in project pan
Revlon Purple Lip balm- finished in #projectlip on Instagram
Natural Lip balm- decluttered
Perfumes:
Ice Pour Femme- used half
Sex & the city Love - just started using
I used up:
Star perfume- finished seasonally

In my previous updates I said about buying another perfume if I finished 2 perfumes in the year, however after finishing some and receiving a few for my birthday, I decided not to do so. I have still got a healthy collection and would like to finish a few more before considering this again. So far I am happy with my progress on this Use it Up project and I have already started to think about products for next years! I decided that if I finish this project up early, that I will start next years.
