May Empties

Hey everyone! 

I didn't think I'd be posting today but then I realised I totally forgot about empties! This month I used a load of my #pan4x4 and #12emptiesofChristmas project items and also finished a lot of half full items. As always with my empties I calculate the total value of the items and see how much I've saved by using them up instead of buying new! 

(Sorry for the horrible photo here! It's a horrible rainy day in Oxfordshire at the moment)

This month I used:

2 Haircare

7 Face Products

7 Body Products

3 Samples

9 Makeup (I was incredibly happy with this!) 

1 "Other" 

In total, I used up a massive amount of £122.86 value of products. This was helped by using up my Beauty Protector Hair Mask (£16 value!) and my No7 Concealer (£13.50 value).

Project Polish- Update 2

Hey everyone! 

I know I'm a little early with this one but I've decided to have a total rest day on Friday so here we are! 1 Polish was finished this time and I do have some impressive progress on the rest. I've also added in a treatment which I use every time I paint my nails so hopefully this will continue to have progress too. On to the photos! 

Barry M Nail Paint in Blue Glitter- I don't know whether you can see the line or not but this has gone down about 5mm. Defiantly over half way now however it is getting gloopy! 

Maybelline express finish polish in 190 Racing Rubies- This Polish is the most recent addition after finishing up my Sally Hansen Diamond Shine Top Coat. I chose this as I've just recently been to a red themed wedding and knew I wanted this on my fingers and toes. It is also rather old so needed to be used up. I've used 5mm also. 

Bourjois 1 Second polish in number 2- My second favourite polish in this project! I love this one with a plain top coat or a matte one! It's just the perfect colour for me for work however you can not see it chip without staring at it! This one has only 8ml in so hopefully gone with in the next two months! 

Ciate Mini Polish in Members Only- My number 1 favourite polish. I think because this has such a sheer coverage I love the colour and how you can build on it. I also think sheer polishes will be great in this project! Look how much progress I made! With this polish I find I need 2 maybe 3 coats to get an even gold colour. 

17 Lasting Fix in Glisten- I used to love this polish, however I no longer do. I've found that I don't need many coats for this colour to build and it lasts pretty good on the nails . Most people would not complain at that however in a project polish that's not really what you want. Not much progress this time and I think this one may stick around for a while.

My added treatment:

Sally Hansen Maximum Strength base coat- As with all my projects I drew a line where I started (only about a week ago) and a line where I am today. I find this base coat has helped with the strength of my nails and it also has a lovely milky colour to it which is a brilliant base for my more sheer colours. 

So for this round of project polish I managed to finish off 1 polish and make pretty good dents in all polishes. I plan to focus on my Ciate (as this is nearly gone) and 17 (as this needs more love) this time round and see where we are next month. I also meant to mention in my introduction that I paint my nails (both toes and fingers) every two days as to help my nails from not staining.

Project Polish 2015

Hey everyone! 

After watching a few videos by PrettyPistol86 on YouTube, I decided to start a project polish for 2015. I started this project almost 2 months ago now but forgot to blog about it! So starting today I'm going to show you my starting point and 1 month update. My 2 month update goes up this next week. For anyone who doesn't know project polish is a year long project pan I'm which you start with a certain amount of nail polishes you would like to finish by the end of the year. Now it is up to the panner themselves if when they finish a polish if they would like to add in more and if you all saw my collection, you'd agree I need to do this. For my first five polishes I chose:

- Sally Hansen Diamond Shine Top Coat

- Bourjois 1 Second Polish in 2

- 17 Lasting Finish in Glisten

- Barry M Paint in Blue Glitter

- Ciate Polish in Members Only 

As with any project pans, I have drawn a line where I started on the product. This is where I was at the 1 month update.

Unfortunately with this update there was little progress. I found myself using the Bourjois and 17 polishes more than the others (excluding my top coat, used every time). So for the month after this one I decided to paint my nails every other day (which in my job has to be done anyways due to chipping). 

Update 2 will be up by Friday 29th! Can't wait to show you my progress!

Glossybox- May 2015

Hey everyone,

It's that time of the month again! Always a great and happy time for me as I love unboxings! This months Glossybox is a great one and everything but one item (the main item!) will get used. For people who don't know Glossybox is £10 a month plus postage and packaging for UK. There are other option for international customers too. The thing I love about Glossybox is that they have a 3 month and a year subscription option so you can decide how much you want to pay. I currently love having their 3 month plan as it works out well for my budgeting. Anywho, on to the unboxing! 

I post my pictures and descriptions in order of favourites and tend to post my makeup together. Enjoy! 

Zerreau Towel Off Shampoo Foam-sample size- full size is £7.95

This little beauty caught my eye straight away. As an avid user of dry shampoo, I was intrigued by the idea of a foam shampoo that you towel dry off! No water needed. This product smells amazing (apple!), worked on my thick hair and lasted all day. This product won't be around long in my stash and a full size may have to be purchased! 

Etre Belle Aloe Vera Ultra Moisterising Gel- full size- £15.93

£15.93 for this tiny 40ml bottle?! I hope this does some awesome cooling and helping my skin on my holiday and during this summer. I'm looking forward to trying new products when in Italy during August so hopefully I won't burn with this beauty cooling me down. But why the hefty price tag!?

SASS Intimate Perfect Skin Concentrate- sample size- full size is £12

Now don't get me wrong, I love the idea of this product and I hope it works, but the name? It really does sound like a product for the lady areas! However upon reading more about it, I've found out that you use it after shaving (either arms or legs for me) to help stop ingrown hairs. Now I don't know about you, but I've not found anything to stop them yet. Fingers crossed for this one! 

Collection Cosmetics Field Day Lipstick in 1 Pink Rose- Full size- £2.99

Oh how I love lipsticks, you all know that! After opening this box I was hoping for something a little darker however this colour is perfect for summer. It's not something I would choose (because of my dark hair and eyes) but everything is worth trying once! I'm never going to say no to a free full size lipstick either! 

MeMeMe Enchanted Eyes Dual Ended Eye Wand- Full size- £6.95

This was the main product I was telling you about in my introduction. We were all shown this as a sneak peak a few weeks before release date and my heart sunk then. Blue? Only really works for blonde haired girls Glossybox! Us dark haired people don't have much use for this. However I will give them one thing, they gave us double the eye product! 

I hope you liked my thoughts and feelings on this months Glossybox. I'm off to try products!

So seen as I've been on project use it up for a couple of months I thought I would show you my progress and how much I've used each one. So far considering we are only in May, I think I have made a lot of progress. However I have also bought quite a few makeup items. A recent inventory has shown me that. Anyways into the photos and items! I've taken the photos from last time a striked through in black if gone.

I said in my intro to this project that if I finish 5 perfumes by the end of 2015, I could treat myself to either buying Marc Jacobs Daisy again OR Viktor&Rolf Bonbon (which is more of a winter scent to me). I currently have finished off 4 perfumes (including Marc Jacobs Daisy from December last year), so by my birthday (July 3rd) I may be able to do so! However I will only buy the one as I got 2 for Christmas 2014. 

I hope this helped you guys keep up to date with my progress and show you all what I throw into my project pans. I currently only have 2 projects running including #Pan4x4 and #12emptiesofChristmas. I also decided earlier in the year that if I use up 2 of each category (I.e 2 mascaras, 2 lipsticks etc) that I can purchase one from my "wish list" however I currently have not done that as I do not see the need for them yet. #12emptiesofChristmas Intro

YHey everyone! 

Today I decided to try this almost year long project pan including 12 items. The idea was started by @jencoempties on Instagram, who decided that it would be good to push the old items out of her stash by using up 12 items by Chrismas. Seen as I'm now only doing #4x4 and project polish, I thought I'd give it a whirl. These are the 12 items I decided to use up.

I don't suppose I will finish up the colour tattoo, origins face mask or maybe even the lipstick. However even if I only make a good amount of progress on these items I am happy. This project also allows me to have fun with my makeup through-out the rest of the year as the items in this project are mostly skincare and base products. 4x4- Update 1

Hey everyone, 

I hope everyone's projects are going well! Today you will be seeing two posts from myself including 4x4  update and intro to #12emptiesbychristmas. For now we'll start with finish 4x4, this was started by Amber F on YouTube and the idea is to finish 4 makeup items by 4th July (which is the day after my birthday). I think I stated in the intro that if I do finish or hit pan by 4th, that I can buy myself one high end makeup item as a birthday treat. 

On to my progress! 

L'oreal Lumi Magique Base Primer- almost done

I didn't expect this item to be almost finished however I do use it everyday in my morning routine. I don't normally like moisturiser type primers, I tend to gravitate towards silicone ones. However I am enjoying how easily this drys and soaks into the skin compared to my Baby Skin Primer. Hopefully by next month this will be done. 

Barry M Eye and Lip Crayon in 1- only the "Barry" left. 

This crayon is taking forever! I started panning this particular product way back in February on my second monthly project pan. Hopefully this will be done by next month as you can only sharpen down to the M. I do like the base effect is gives my eyeshadows, however will not repurchase. 

Nyx 5 Colour Shadows (Hit pan on 3)- no-where near. 

This baby is going to take me forever. I use these shadows on a daily basis, however the pink needs more love. You can't tell from the picture but there is a significant dip in the far left and middle pink. Eyeshadows have always been a problem for me in project pans, I don't know why I keep forcing myself to pan them. 

Rimmel Kate Lipstick in 08- less than 1cm of product left. 

I'm sure your all sick of seeing this product in my project pans now, as I am of using it. This was my favourite lipstick during winter and I thought it would be out of my collection by now, but no it's been going strong since February too! If I keep re-applying I may get there before 4th July, however in my second project starting later, I also have another lip product. They may clash or I may alternate which week I use which one.

#finish5byCinco Finale!

Hey everyone,

Today I decided it was time to finish #finish5byCinco project as we only have 2 days to go. Tomorrow I will be updating on #pan4x4. I made so much progress and used so much with this project. 6 products were used and one I have left over. Remember in this project I added in 2 items which were the Soap & Glory Body Wash and Revlon Lip Butter in Sugar Frosting. 

This is how I follow with my projects. I always have 2 lists, one on a post it for my mirror and one in my project book. Both I tick off when my products when done.

This is the only product I have left. It is my Maybelline Gel Eyeliner which I knew it would be. I managed to make a very good dent in it however.

The products I used up include:

- Argan Oil Conditioner

- Chapstick in Strawberry

- Dr Jart Primer 

- Rimmel Vinyl Lipgloss

- Soap & Glory Body Wash

- Revlon Lip Butter in Sugar Frosting
