April Empties

Hey everyone!
Today's post will be all about my empties and seen as I was on a beauty no-buy this month, I actually haven't got a lot. If your new to my blog, I always add up the total amount of empties in value to see how much I've saved/used. On to the empties!
I think this month I was on a little bit of a Soap & Glory kick (especially their Hand Food! I love it). Here we have:
8 Samples
1 face wipes
2 Cotton Pads
3 Hand Cream
3 Face Products (including my GlamGlow!)
3 Makeup Products (One Dried out)
1 Perfume
3 Haircare Samples
7 Body Products (including my #finish5bycinco Body Wash by Soap & Glory)

My total value for usage this month is: £98.97. This was made higher by the GlamGlow and Perfume. I'm hoping next month to have a higher value and more full sized items in my empties as then I'll hopefully be in a better place with my projects.

Glossybox- April 2015

Hey everyone,
I'm back! I'm so SO sorry that I've been missing in action recently, I've been getting back into my other hobby (Jewellery Making if anyone is interested) and abusing this one. Well now I'm back with another Glossybox review and this time I wasn't as impressed but it's still a great selection. For anyone who doesn't know Glossybox in £10 + postage in the UK and contains 4-5 beauty products. Most months you do get a sneak peek and they do have boxes for other countries too.
This months box was inspired by Hollywood and I recieved the Marylin box. Let's get into the box! As always I'll go from my most favourite product to the least and tell you my initial thoughts.
Colour club Barely There Nail Polish- full size-£4.10
Now let's just start at the fact that one, it's a full size polish. Two it's the perfect nude colour that I love to wear to work. I must admit I made a promise to my mother and myself at the beginning of this year that I wouldn't buy any new nail polish and so far I haven't. Both of my new ones are from Glossybox's. This will be tried and tested soon.
Astral Original Face and Body Moisturiser- Full size- £3.89 for 200ml
I've heard of this brand before and I must admit it has been on my drugstore wish list, so having it come in a box was perfect for me! I tried this as soon as I went to put all my new items away and I love the constancy however I dislike the smell. Once I have finished my current moisturiser, I'll be moving on to this as I think I can get past the smell.
IDC Body Lotion- Full Size- £3.59 for 100ml
I'm never going to say no to a body lotion especially when it smells of roses! This fragrance when rubbed in does die down a little but it really does feel luxurious. The packaging is pretty darn cute too!
Lord & Berry Lipstick Pencil in Kiss- Full Size- £10
Pop Beauty Kajal Eyeliner Pencil- Full Size- £6.50
Now as you can tell these two are my least favourite products and it's not because they are bad products (defiantly not for a FREE Lord and Berry lipstick!!). It is just the fact I have so many eyeliners in black (this one I haven't even swatched because I don't want yet another eyeliner open) and I also don't wear red lipstick. However I did try the lipstick on with a bare face and it is okay. It shows up a lot more orange tonned on my lips, it may have to be tried and tested with full makeup.

My overall view of this box is that yes it does resemble Hollywood and the Marylin style, however I won't use the main items in this box. Here's to next months box as I don't know anything that will be in the box!

My Thoughts- InstaNatural Moroccan Rose Water- 1Week

Hey Everyone!
I Thought today I would do a one week testing review for you, next Monday there will be a 2 week update too. I was lucky enough to be sent the InstaNatural Moroccan Rose Water Toner to try and test and want to let you all know about my first week.
The Rose Warer Toner is a beautifully packaged product in glass jar. It retails for £14.95 on Amazon with free super saver delivery (http://www.amazon.co.uk/InstaNatural-Rose-Water-Face-Toner/dp/B00IMHN0B4/ref=pd_rhf_pe_p_img_1). The delivery was super quick! Came in 3 weekend days. Now normally I don't like glass bottles as they are not safe for travelling however this bottle feels pretty thick and dense so the bottle will not crack.

Among opening, you will smell the toner straight away. To me it reminded me of Turkish Delight, this is exactly what had me sold on this product! Now although this is marketed as a toner, the instructions on the back also say you can wash your hair with it as a treatment, use it as an essetial oil and many other uses including ache treatment. I think a multi use product is perfect for when you travel, however I have only used it as a toner myself.

After cleansing my face in the usual way, I have been adding three drops of the Rose water on to a clean cotton pad and swiping all over my face and chest. For the first two times of using, I found no difference in my skin. However after day 3, I noticed my skin was breaking out a little more than used to. I did stick to it though and the break out did die down.

I found that within this first week of using this all natural product I was impressed. It smells clean, relaxes and helps my break outs calm down. For the small price for a 120ml bottle, I think if your looking to change to more Eco-friendly beauty or skincare routine then this product would be a great start.

I'm going to pop back in another week and see if there is any difference in my skin condition.

Finish 5 By Cinco De Mayo- Update 3

Hey Everyone!
It's Update 3 time of #finish5bycinco and I've got loads of progress this time. I'm beginning to get a little bored of this project however I'm so close to finishing my 5. Only one to go! This time I managed to finish my Rimmel Viynl Lipgloss especially as the stopper was not in it. On to the progress I have in the last two items.
1) Soap & Glory Body Wash
I have had so much progress with this this month. The last two months I've been using it as body wash, hand wash and to wash my makeup brushes (seen as it extra moisturising). I saw this tip on Cherish's project pans (PrettyPistol on YouTube). As you can see by the last two lines, so much has gone! That and I don't have much left to go. Hopefully this will be done by 5th May.
2) Maybelline Gel Eyeliner
Since the last update, I'll be honest, I haven't been using it everyday. However when I want a more dramatic eye, this is my first port of call. As you can see from the photo, I have more of the pan showing now, but it is going to be a very long time before it's used up. This eyeliner is over 2 years old, however It hasn't dried up or started to irritate my eyes, so I'm going to carry on using it until it's gone.

We've only got one more month of this project and I can almost guarantee that my body wash will be gone however that is then my 5. So I will be happy with that!

March beauty Empties

Hey everyone!
It's that time of the month again where you all see how much beauty stuff I actually go through. I've found that this month was a slower month as I've started a few full sized products and haven't used as many samples. However as you will see in a second, I did manage to go through a few makeup products!
My pile includes:
4 hair care products
6 face prodcucts
6 body products
3 hand products
3 face masks
6 samples
10 makeup products (one is a sample and 4 was decluttering)

My total value used up in March was £95.37.

I'm proud of how many makeup items I managed to use this month and hope I can continue into April with the trend. However I do want to use more samples up this month and see that collection decrease. I have also decided that as of tomorrow (April 2nd) I am on a no beauty buy. I will only buy if I run out of moisturiser or makeup remover (highly unlikely!).
