Review- Bourjois Air Mat Foundation

Hey everyone,
Recently I popped this photo of myself up on Instagram (@Piperbeauty) of my first application of the new Bourjois Air Mat Foundation and I had a few people ask me to review it. After a few more days of trying the foundation out, I'm ready to give my thoughts and feelings. As you can see by the photo upon first application, I was really impressed with the coverage (the photo is with no concealer or powder) and texture. However I did find the colour was a little off even when blended down my neck. Unfortunaly Bourjois doesn't have a massive shade range and even though I bought 01 Rose Ivory (the lightest shade) it still wasn't light enough for me. I also found this with the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation too.
I found that applied with a beauty sponge, it created a nice light texture, almost like your not wearing foundation at all. The bottle implies an undetectable matte finish which I believe was correct. However after I completed my makeup, I had noticed the colour had oxidised on me and I was now 2 shades darker than the above picture. This may not be a problem if you plan to wear the foundation for a short amount of time, however with the light feeling I was planning to wear it for a working day (8 hours). This then short listed the foundation to short wear for myself.

However for review purposes, I continued to wear the foundation all day and let me tell you within 2 hours it had broken down on my skin. I have (unfortunately) very oily/combination skin so most foundations have to stand the test of time. This foundation did not. I blotted my skin with shine papers and half of the foundation came off with the oil (major brake down). Normally, if this was a working day I would not have any way of re-applying so I carried on with my day as if I were working. After another 2 hours, I came back to my skin and the foundation had completely gone. The oil in my skin had broken what was left of the Air Mat after blotting and just left my face with an oily shine. I blotted again, just to make sure and these were my findings (do not look at the next few photos if grossed out by oil).
1) First blotting 2) Second blotting
I tried to take a close up of my skin and as you can see my under eye bags, spots and acne scaring were all visible before blotting. Now as unfortunate as the wear time is on this foundation (for myself) it does claim to have 24 hour wear but I do believe that would be for dry skin. It's light texture and easy to wear would make it perfect for you, however not so much for oily skin like mine. I do like this foundation so I do plan to wear it for when I go out to town or short journeys as the initial coverage was amazing! However when it is finished, I do not plan to repurchase.

I hope this was helpful to anyone trying to figure out whether they want to try it or not. If you have tried any foundations recently and have oily/combination skin like mine, please can you tweet me (@BeautifulBeads1) and let me know? I would love to try some more out.

Project 10 Pan- 6 Week Update

Hey everyone,
Doesn't two weeks go so fast? Luckily I have some more progress to show you on my project 10 pan this time, but I am wondering If I should start doing these every month? Let me know what you think. I've added in a bonus product this time as I can see myself using everyday at the moment with the current eye look I'm doing so I may as well add it to my 10!
So far I have finished:
Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation
Rimmel London Glam Eyes in Precious Rose (hit pan goal)
You Butter Believe it Body Butter
Rimmel Wake me up Concealer
Rimmel Kate lipstick in 08
Only 5 (now 6 with bonus product) to finish or hit pan on.
Buxom Amplified Lash Mascara
As I said in my previous update, this mascara has been really dry ever since I got back from Italy. I've noticed a few times now that it is beginning to flake during the day so it may be time to throw this out soon. Which is really annoying because I only bought this in my birthday haul (July) and it's only been 2 months with consistent use.
Mac Dainty Blush (hit pan)
Can you tell it's flatter? I was really excited to see this when I was taking photos of the products. There is barely any shadow now and I'm enjoying it still. I can't see myself hitting pan on this product any time soon, but i really don't mind.
Etre Belle Lifting Peel
I'll be honest here, I haven't been using this as much these last two weeks. However look at the progress I'm making! Matching this with my current night lipbalm is meaning I'm making progress with both items, moving more out of my collection. Keep moving forward!
Collection Bronze Glow Bronzer (hit pan)
Guess what's now being used? I'm loving the fact that soon after my last update I began to use this and now I'm already seeing a dip. I've decided that I'm only going to keep this in my project until I hit pan as I'm really not feeling the glittery shimmer for the fall season. The product itself is amazing though! Consistent use and I may reach pan before I thought.
NYC Smooth Skin Face Powder
I really don't understand why this is some youtubers holy grail product. I mean it's nice and it does the job however, it's bulky, annoying and gets everywhere. There is progress these last two weeks and I am constantly hitting pan and having to re-hit the product to the bottom. The bottom line is where I currently am.
BONUS PRODUCT: Rimmel Exaggerate Lipliner in Eastend Snob
I've been loving this Lipliner with a current project lipstick that I've found myself using it everyday. Why not add it into the pan? I've started where the black line is, however after measuring it broke and is now kind of in the casing. This maybe gone quicker than I thought.

Hopefully I will have even more progress to show you in 2 more weeks, unless we decide to go a month. In which case i may only have a few items left!

Review- Freedom Pro Melts Lipgloss

Hey everyone,
I had to just do a quick review and swatch post for you all as I think the colours of these Pro Melts are gorgeous! Please do excuse the swatches (this is my first swatch post and I chose something difficult!), I will get better with practise.
I purchased the Freedom Pro Melts Lipglosses from Beautycrowd.com, however you can also purchase these from Freedommakeuplondon.com. I chose the colours (left to right) Up, D-ream and TGIF. Here are a few swatches and then I'll go into what I think of them.
Up- Freedom Pro Melts
D-Ream Freedom Pro Melts
TGIF- Freedom Pro Melts

Can I just say, Holy pigmentation batman! These Lipglosses are right on there with colour! I found that after wearing the colour does fade and TGIF does stain (as you can see around my lips). The formula itself is a like a liquid lipstick in texture, glides on and lasts like a lipgloss. For one who doesn't really like the dryness of a liquid lipstick, I love these! They're moisturising, lovely and comfortable to wear. However when applying you do need a steady hand, as a first time swatcher I needed to practise 3 times before even making the swatch for TGIF.

I plan to purchase a few more of these colours and I know Up and D-Ream are going to make more of an appearance in my up coming looks. TGIF is a little too dark for my complexion, so it may not stay in my collection for long.
