24by4July- 6 week update

Hey everyone, 

2 more weeks have passed and a few more items have been finished off in this project. So far I'm loving this and think Megan (Megsmakeup8 on YouTube) has made a brilliant project up. I'm just going to jump straight into the progress. 

So far I have finished:

So far I've only used this polish a handful of times. I'm finding at the moment in the job I'm in that painting my nails is more a chore as it's gone by the end of the day. However I am getting worse with biting my nails, so if I paint them maybe I'll stop biting them? 

Nars Orgasm Blush sample 

As you can see from the picture, there isn't much more progress here. However the texture of the top of the blush is changing which is progress for me. 

Nars Rekugien lip pencil 

I absolutely love this colour and formula! I can totally see what all the hype is about. As you can see I don't have much left and am constantly re-applying. Does anyone else find that this needs sharpening again after a days re-applying or is it just me? This will be gone by next update for sure. 

Stila eyeshadow- "Improvise" 

No useage here. I will focus on this shade once my other shadow has hit pan. 

Stila Eyeshadow- "Impulse" 

I have been using this eyeshadow consistently and yet now pan has been hit. I do find that this shadow is very tightly packed though (not helping with panning). 

Deep Steep Shower Gel

Slow and steady wins the race here. I do geninely feel that my other body washes would have gone faster in this project however, if I can get this done by at least the end of July, I'm a happy bunny. 

Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze

I still have a long way to go with this product however, the dip is getting deeper and I'm still loving this under any colour I apply. A favourite product. 

Isa Dora Lipliner

No progress again. I really find that I'm not going for a lip liner and the colour of this is way to dark for my skin tone. I need to find a way to lighten this up for the summer months. 

Revlon Pink Afterglow lipgloss

No progress here either as I plan to move onto this gloss once my Nars Rekugien is gone. I do like the texture and amount of glitter in this product though. 

Mac Blush in Dainty

I have no progress to show here either. I do use this blush and my Nars every other week so progress will be slow. I have noticed i am almost hitting the bottom edge of the pan though so maybe soon? 

Revlon Juicy Papaya lip butter

Again another product I have not yet focused on purely because I plan to start using this in June when I am on holiday. These don't take long to use and I'm sure in a week it will be gone. 

Loreal Infallable Mattifying Base

I really don't find this mattes my face at all OR keeps the oil at bay on my face. I think I have at least half of the product left and I'm sure this will be gone by July 4th. 

Too Faced Liner sample 

I'm still really in love with this liner however I do find I have to sharpen it a lot though. The best look for me is with a sharp point. I have made about half a cm worth of progress in 2 weeks. 

Technic Lipstick in Indian Red 

Not yet used. This maybe thrown in the bin soon as it's starting to smell off. 

Stila Illuminating Trio

I don't know whether you can tell but I have managed to hit some good pan on the pink edge (right near the closure). I am going to call this product done when I am completely finished with the pink section as this is the colour I use the most. 

Maybelline Dream Velvet Foundation 

I know what your thinking. Where's the too faced born this way? Well seen as I really couldn't get on with the too faced (unsure what I'm going to do with that to be honest), I'm subbing in this foundation which is sitting nicer on my skin. When I subbed it into this project I drew a line just under the dream. After at least 1 week of consistent use I am now on the second line. 

Marc Jacobs Daisy perfume 

I have made some good progress with this perfume too and seem as it is my only perfume in this project now I should make more progress. However I am also going to be using other minis in my collection every other week so I don't get too used to my daisy perfume and go off the scent. 

Nip + Fab Dark Circle Corrector 

I'm still in love with this product and am sure it will be finished soon. It is now very light to hold. 

Maybelline Master Precise Eyeliner

Not used. I will try again soon with this eyeliner, however if it has now dried out, it will be thrown away. 

As you can see I have got through a lot of product however I now still have a long way to go.

7bySpring- Update 1

Hey everyone,

First off, I'll tell you all now, I didn't expect to be where I am in this project already. I've completed so many of my goals that I'm now adding in more just to see how far I can get by 20th March! 

So far I have finished:

Dior Tie Dye Lipstick in 006 Nude Fever

I still think I'm mad for trying to pan this but actually after my Revlon Balm Stain finished up, I've found myself grabbing for this lipstick over the others. In a couple of weeks I've managed to make half a cm in progress due to reapplication and chapped winter lips (this is a very thin lipstick so goes fast). I still love the colour of this lipstick and will be sad when I finally say goodbye to it. 

Finish Naked 2 in Basics Palette 

Since you last saw this palette we have a bigger dip in Naked 2 and a pan in Crave! I've also managed to hit the side of the pan in Naked 2. I used this colour in my crease everyday and when I finally do finish it, i will be sad to see it go. I'm going to be working on the other side now to hit that pan. 

Finish Balm Desert Bronzer Sample (Bonus) 

Now I know this really could be a long shot but using this bronzer everyday I think I could manage it. If not it will be finished soon after the project ends. This bronzer is the perfect colour for my pale skin tone and after I've finished this and another bronzer, I may purchase the full size. 

As you can tell, I didn't expect to be where I am already! I think in the next few weeks I will have to add in another makeup product and maybe a skincare product just to get a few more things out of my collection.

2016 Inventory

Hey everyone, 

I know I don't do this much on my blog but every month I keep a track of what I'm spending and the amount of products I have in my collection (an inventory basically). Last month at the end of 2015 I did an inventory with my mother (to keep myself accountable) and it shocked me silly. I decided then to try and finish a few more products and then re-do an invent for 2016. So here we are and the numbers are not as bad but as you will see I will be putting myself on a no-buy for a while unless I run out of a certain catagory. 

Eyeshadow palettes:

Total count = 17 

Ideal number = 7

Single Shadows:

Total count = 12 

Ideal number = 5 

Eyeliners

Total count= 20!! 

Ideal Number= haven't decided but less than 10. Serious project work and decluttering needs to happen here. 

Mascaras

As you can see from these numbers, I really do have a lot of work to do and better stick to my no buy. I recently have been watching more project pan videos and use it up videos to keep me on the straight and narrow. My next tactic is to revisit my 2015 beginning post and see how much my collection has grown. Hopefully that will shock me enough! Good luck with 2016 panning everyone!

Hey everyone! 

I can't believe another project is finished! I decided to finish this project one day early as I have another project in the works and the last two products are not going to be finished in a day. I feel I've done very well with this project! I had 14 items in this(so I could make more damage to my collection if I wanted to) and managed to complete 12 of my targets!

Although I managed to use this dust every other week throughout this project I did not manage to finish it. However I did make a good dent in the product and loved the effect it gave certain eyeshadows. I did say I was going to chuck this product after this project but after liking the effects it gave, I'm going to keep it and put it back in my collection for another time. 

Rimmel Scandleyes in 011 Bluffing

I made some serious progress with this product! I knew it would still be here until the end of the project (as it was full when started), however I think 2.5cm worth of product used is a good start for my 2016 use it up project! I will revisit this product this time next year and try to finish then. 

Considering I thought most of my products would still be here by the end of this project, I believe I've done really well! Especially considering I've used up 2 lipbalms and lip liners from my collection. The end of this project has made me realise I can do these seasonal projects and I enjoy them a lot more than normal project pans.

Project 10 Pan- Final Update

Hey everyone, 

I decided recently that it was time to finish my second Project 10 Pan and continue on with 2016's project pans. I found that this project took a while and that I only managed to finish 6 items. But anything is better than nothing! 

In this project, I finished:

I'm happy with the progress I made with this project and although I didn't plan to use this product up, I do believe I made some serious progress. When applying the product I do have to "double dip" the wand to get a full application so maybe next year this will be used up. 

Revlon Balm Stain in Honey

I knew this product would hang on until the very end. In the last month I used this product everyday and made some good progress. I managed to use up 1cm of product in this project and I plan to use this up in next years use it up challenge so expect to see it in project pans next year. I also want to finish this as a friend of my repurchased this for me for Christmas! 

Marsk eyeshadow dust 

In my last update I planned to throw this product out after my next update but since then I have been using it everyday to set my eyeliner and have made some serious progress! I managed to finish off half of this product during this project and believe that if I try to use it up again next year, it will be gone. 

Isa Dora Icy Blue Kajal eyeliner

This product was another that I knew would be hanging on up until the end. Considering I started this product half way through the project (due to another eyeliner in another project), I think 2.5cm worth of used up product is good! I loved this colour and set with the Marsk dust, it worked really well for the winter period. This time next year, I will pull this product out again and try use up more. 

As you can probably all guess by now (and will probably be posted on) I am writing this on Christmas Day! I don't have much time off at the moment and the next few days I have a few more updates and posts coming your way! So watch out for those and have a safe and merry Christmas!
